ESP LTD Viper-154DX Bass Guitar See-Thru Black
$499.00 $349.00
Although it's name refers to a snake, the LTD Viper series electric basses are shaped more like something from a Batman episode. The double cutaway design on the Viper-154DX creates similar, albeit slightly uneven curves like the famous Bat symbol. The bottom half of the basswood body is slightly off-kilter, with the extreme beveled edges on the upper horn side and the more oblong bottom side looking as if the maple top had somehow slid to the side. As far as providing outstanding tone, the Viper-154DX has ESP SB-4 pickups at the neck and bridge, as well as an ESP ABQ-3 3-band active EQ. It has a thin "U" neck contour and is standard scale (34"), making it easy to play for anyone of any level. Other features include a ESP DB-4 string-thru-body bridge, 40mm standard nut, ESP tuners, and all black nickel hardware. The bolt-on maple neck is topped by a rosewood fingerboard with 24 XJ frets. Helping you get the most tone out of this stunning axe are an EMG 45TW bridge pickup with a push-pull coil tap on volume knob, EMG 45P6 active neck pickup, and an EMG B64 3-band active EQ. The thin "U" neck contour and double cutaway design on this 35" scale B-1006 bass makes it easy to access all 6 strings and 24 XJ frets while a Hipshot bridge and Hipshot tuners help keep your strings in position and tune no matter how hard you're digging.
